An Invitation to NorCal Women's Camp

You are invited to attend NorCal Women's Camp January 9-12, 2014 at beautiful Mayacamas Ranch outside Calistoga, CA. Our theme this year is Be the Light, Let Your Spirit Shine! Our teachers are mother-daughter team Hari Kirin Kaur http://www.artandyoga.com/ and Ajeet Kaur http://ajeetkaurmusic.com/ .

Connect to and strengthen your inner light in a sacred circle of women. Join Hari Kirin Kaur, Ajeet Kaur and the NorCal Women's Camp Council for a transformative weekend of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation with an emphasis on art and music. Set your intentions for the New Year strengthened by the group frequency, nourished by organic food, and soothed by the beauty of the Calistoga valley. Drift off to sleep each night in cozy organic beds.

In the words of past teachers, attendees and council members, here are some reasons to join us this year!

"Among the majestic redwoods, in the lap of the mountains of Northern California, there is a well-kept secret. It is a group of women who all hold a vision of reaching their excellence and being the light of change and elevation for their families, their communities and the world.

"I cannot express the power of this camp and the women who attend. Leading this group is a timeless experience of sharing and growth. Each woman shows up to deeply transform.

"With the strength of the group energy that has been created by the Council of Women dedicated to see this camp manifest each year, there is a foundation of Sacred Circle of Women. It is a true honor to support and assist this program. It is an example of the best we have.  It is run from an Aquarian spirit and each woman is nurtured, honored and uplifted through the experience.

"You can feel the smiles of Yogi Bhajan each minute."

-Pritpal Kaur

Once there were some people who could not stand upright.

They slouched all of the morning and wandered in the night.

And then one day a woman came who stood up so straight and tall.

She brought them to their greatness and inspired them all.

-Lara Eavan O'Herlihy/Najeet Kaur, age 10

"I learned at Women’s Camp that a woman is a very powerful creature. We set the tone for the whole family, and have the power to attract everything that is needed in life. All we need to do is to tune in to our source and set our intentions."

-Stephanie Andrews

"First of all, I have to say I love our NorCal Women's Camp. I look forward to it all year long. This coming year will be my sixth year and I am excited about the new location at Mayacamas. My family has supported my going every year by making it part of my Christmas present. It is an indulgence for myself after a very busy holiday season of doing for the entire family. It is a time for me to catch up with me. I renew my vows to myself, make new resolutions, set new challenges, and celebrate the accomplishments of a lifetime. A full lifetime of over 74 years. Yes, I don't always keep up with every exercise; but I sure get to laugh a lot, hug a lot, and just generally enjoy being in the company of a great group of women for three whole days. The experiences we share I treasure throughout the year until we all come together again in the following camp in January. What a great way to start off the new year."

-Fran Basso

"It has happened to me every year. As the time for camp draws closer I find my self resistant to going, resistant to opening up…I always joke about going to Vegas instead...Shopping, Partying, moving away from spirit...But, always I dig deep and realize that voice is really telling me exactly where I need to be!  One of the things that has always moved me most about women’s camp is how we all unfold during the course of those couple days. Most are tight little flower buds, protective, closed in on whatever it is that is shaping our lives at the moment. Protective of our inner selves...As the weekend progresses, layers unfold, barriers come down. I always marvel at Women's abilities to be there for each other, to hold each other sacred, to allow these layers to unfold."

-Niki Genolio

Give yourself the gift of time and space to connect with your inner light, strengthen it, and let it shine. All those you know and love will benefit from it.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
