Aquarian Age

Yogi Bhajan came to the West during the counter-culture movement of the late 1960’s and 1970’s. For the first time in history, a master shared the ancient, secret science of Kundalini Yoga freely and openly. The counter-culture initiated the start of a profound evolution in human consciousness. This expansion in awareness will continue into the future, during what is called, “The Aquarian Age.” Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan gives people practical tools to navigate and integrate this incredible shift.

The Age of Aquarius began on November 11, 2011. We can see evidence all around us of how the horizon of the human mind is growing. The Internet has created a cyber space that is truly limitless in size and experience. The human mind processes more information in one day than people had to process during an entire lifetime in the 1700’s. The demands on the human brain and the nervous system have never been as great as they are today.

In response to these demands, humans are beginning to evolve a sensory system that allows them to live as intuitive, multi-faceted beings. However, evolution is a tricky process and not everyone will be capable of making the change. Yogi Bhajan often said that what worked in the past will no longer work in the future. Those who cannot make the shift will need help. He taught Kundalini Yoga so that people would have techniques to consciously develop the sensory system. He also encouraged those who practiced Kundalini Yoga to become teachers, so they could serve and heal others.

Yogi Bhajan’s teachings on the Aquarian Age are vast and comprehensive. Sometimes he would lecture on this subject, and say that people will not understand what he was discussing for another 500 or 1000 years.

We invite you to explore the wealth of knowledge that Yogi Bhajan shared about the future of the human race, and how to prepare yourself to be a part of it.
